I can't remember where I first saw this story but something about the synopsis made me interested and I picked it up. Here we have a female cop who is tasked with disguising herself as a sexual robot in order to get closer to a man her police force wants to extract information from. But in the process, she falls for her mark.I actually really liked this story. It's an erotica and the sex is done really well. As is the science fiction aspect of the fembots and their naughty business. The relationship between our couple is obviously based on a lie but I still rooted for their happily ever after. And the ending was nice. There are more stories in this series and I'm curious to see what comes next.

I can see why this story won a HOLT Medallion award. It’s the first book in the Tau Cetus Chronicles. It has police woman Jai Turner trying to impersonate a Beautiful Doll sex robot, which tries to impersonate a human woman. Very interesting! And while Jai is not what she seems, neither is notorious arms dealer Marque Callex, the man Jai has been assigned to bring to justice. As the layers of deception unravel in the story, the emotional ties build between the two. And there’s a totally unexpected twist at the end! I would definitely recommend this book.
This yarn has a some what lope sided tale. Can be offensive to some. Shame really this story could have been expanded so much more in a Police type drama and reduction of some graphic description, without loosing the total sex aspect which being a male, I admit to enjoying. Its not a bad book but totally unbelievable knowing some of the type of persons portrayed.
I enjoyed this book, didn't want to put it down. Very good story line, action, and I would re read it again. Look forward to getting the next book. This a stand alone, even though part of a series. no cliff hanger. Won't spoil the ending.
I enjoyed this unique tale! I was captivated from the very beginning! A truly interesting storyline with some hot scenes! Definitely curious about the other stories in this series!
I enjoyed reading this unlikely story, but so very sweet. I love my happily ever afters and this one doesn't disappoint.

All in all a very good read. Normally i can read a few books at the same time, but this was read from start to finish without reading anything in between.
If you like sci-fi, eroticism, a plot that moves forward, and a well written story, this might be for you.
I thought the first four chapters were amazing. Ms. Ives writes sex scenes like no other. Although erotic, they're tastefully done. (no pun intended) What I didn't like was the abruptness of leaving 4 glorious chapters into his business world. It felt like I was being dunked in an ice bath.
I was happy with the ending, although having sex after heart surgery is not believable. If she was feeling pain from him holding her in his arms, any jostling would be extremely difficult.
